Sleep and mental health are closely connected. Many of us suffer from loud snoring or sleep apnea at night that disrupts our sleep cycle. This causes us to feel fatigued each day, and not have the ability to concentrate. Over time, serious health issues can arise if sleeping issues are left untreated. Snoring Laser Care offers services to help treat your snoring. We want you to get a good night’s sleep, so your mental health is strong and stable.
Sleep deprivation has a direct effect on our mood. It increases anxiety in the body, which makes it hard to sleep. Stress also plays a part in affecting sleep and works against us, making our bodies feel aroused, or alert during the night. There are two sleeping patterns while we sleep. The first is quiet sleep where the body temperature drops, and we relax and breathe slow. This helps to boost our immune system and over body function. The second type of sleep is REM (rapid eye movement). This is where we dream, and our temperature and heart rate or breathing increase to levels just like when we are awake. REM sleep helps our emotional health, enhances memory, and learning in our brain.
